The third installment of the annual Luff In Series.

Saturday will be the single-handed day with Sabots and perhaps some Lasers.

Sunday will be the double-handed and Bic day.

Please note this is a change from the previously published NOR.

October 14-15 – Sea Otter Regatta at Monterey Peninsula YC (High School)

The first of the 10% regattas for the school year.

October 21 – Casino Night at SWYC FLYER

The best fundraiser adults will attend all year, anywhere!  A fun night for adults to come down to the Club and enjoy a night on Treasure Island.  Costumes are encouraged and some prizes will be awarded to the best dressed!

As a reminder, we would greatly appreciate any goods or services you or your company would be willing to donate.  Many of our families have donated either a $25 gift card to one of their favorite stores/restaurants or a nice bottle of wine.  The Foundation is a 501(c)(3), so your donations are tax deductible. Please try to have your items or donations to either me or the front office before October 1st. The juniors thank you for your support!

October 21-22 – PCISA Girl’s Regatta at SDYC (High School)

The first girl’s regatta in high school sailing that started a movement for similar events around the country.  Now in its 8th or 9th year, this regatta draws teams from all over the country!

October 21-22 – PCISA Keelboat Qualifier at SDYC (High School)

The high school qualifier for the unofficial high school keelboat national championship.

October 21-22 Corinthian Cup at BCYC (CFJ, Sabot)

I’m sure this is a great regatta, but given the conflict with Casino Night…

October 22 – SCYYRA Junior Sailing Team Applications Due

SCYYRA announces a team each year which is composed of some of the best junior sailors in Southern California.  This is a great goal for high school aged kids to strive for.  Application details can be found at www.scyyra.org

October 28 – Hamlin Series and Halloween Regatta at ABYC (29er, Laser, Radial, Sabot)

Details for the regatta are not yet posted but it falls inline with the 29er Hamlin Series for the 29er class.

October 28-29 – Carolyn Nute Regatta at MBYC (Snipe)

This is a great class to get into that is a great blend of talented adults and junior high and high school aged kids.  This year the regatta will be sailed out in the ocean and promises to be quite competitive.    If you’re interested in learning more about the Snipe Class, let me know.
